Have you ever wondered what’s the best way to communicate with other professionals when there are multiple native languages and cultural backgrounds involved?

Our webinar on January 18 at 12:00 pm UK time will discuss the many dimensions of intercultural business communication, taking a closer look at communication practices or tendencies in the United Kingdom, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Nigeria.

Overall, this talk will explore how the dimensions of cross-cultural communication impact the way we engage with one another and how successful communication can be defined. By looking at these dimensions in the context of the five aforementioned countries, this webinar will help uncover potentially unidentified communication pitfalls in order to improve understanding between members of culturally diverse teams.

Led by an expert at Busuu, an innovative platform that combines self-paced study, live classes with expert tutors, and the ability to practise with 120 million native speakers to learn a language, this webinar will analyse communication taking into account the following dimensions:

  • High vs. low context when it comes to communicating.
  • Direct vs. indirect negative feedback or evaluations.
  • Egalitarian vs. hierarchical leadership.
  • Consensual vs. top-down decision-making.
  • Task-based vs. relationship-based trust.
  • Confrontation vs. avoiding confrontations when it comes to disagreements.
  • Linear vs. flexible scheduling.
  • Principles first vs. applications first types of persuasion.

Hope to have you with us!
